The rescue hook possesses several unique features that enhance function: large finger treads on the spine aid controlled use - both bare-handed and gloved, small perimeter swells near it indicate where the blade is located for blind use, the 440HC stainless steel edge can be sharpened, but retains itself so well that sharpening is not often needed, possesses a lanyard hole, and is small and compact for easy carry. Choose between a soft Velcro closure sheath with fixed loop to fit belts, straps, or harnesses a moolded snap-fit sheath which can be lashed to surfaces, tethered around the neck, and a simple accessory clip that uses a standard lash tab.
