A superlative knife. Without the usual spring pressure, the 2 3/4 inch (7 cm) long 440-C stainless steel blade gently opens and closes until it is firmly locked in position. That's because of the hardened, stainless steel lock spring placed in front of the blade path when it's open, and because of a ball bearing detente preventing an accidental opening of the blade, when it's closed. You can disassemble the knife yourself for cleaning. These knives are available with high-tech handles made of titanium, carbon fiber or G-10.
