Applegate Fairbairn A-F 543DES Desert Storm Identical to Standard A-F 12 except with Desert Storm handle (543 Seal Pictured) - Upgraded during the Gulf War, the Desert Storm retains all of the features that made the original knife a classic. Perfect for the collector or as an everyday tool, this blade uses a fiberglass reinforced Delrin handle that is center-thickened for a confident grip. This knife is finely sharpened and possesses a lanyard hole for convenience. Sheathed in durable cordura, the comfortable handle is separated from the phenomenally sharp blade by a short, forward-bending cross-guard for finger protection. Excelling in balance, the Applegate has steel weights in the sand-colored handle for a rearward effect - easy on the hand and arm during prolonged use. Beautifully bead-blasted for a dull, yet attractive glow in the 440C Solingen stainless steel, this knife series is serialized for collectors.
