Strop your razors with this quality-crafted, 23 inch long, two-inch wide leather strop, made with Red Russian leather and canvas that includes a hanging clip and a padded handle. Since the early 1900's Jemico Solingen has produced razor strops that are among the finest in the world. Jemico uses three different types of leather in their strop; Rindleder leather -- the Old Reliable of strops for over 150 years, compressed Russian finish leather, and Red Russian finish, which equals the latter, except for a red-brown tone. Stropping Your Blade

To keep the fine razor edge aligned on half or full hollow ground razors, sharpen with a strop made of smooth Russian or Rind leather. Draw the edge away from you with the back of the razor on the strop. When changing the direction, the razor should be turned over. Never raise the back of the razor off the strop; it will rake off the razor edge. Use #J55 paste for best results when stropping.
