Spyderco C88PBK Salt I Rust Free - Plain Edge - Rounded at the 3 inch blade's nose with a thicker tip where most use occurs, the Salt I also features an enlarged 14mm Spyderco Round Hole which facilitates opening with gloved or wet hands. All Spyderco Salt Series Knives boast hollow-ground blades, FRN Volcano Grip handles, a lanyard hole for thong or cord attachment for water use, and ambidextrous tip-up carry. From Spyderco: New H-1 Steel is a precipitation-hardened alloy with .1 percent nitrogen that performs like carbon in the steel matrix, but will not react to chlorine, making rust. Holding an edge comparable to carbon-based steels, H-1 work-hardens at the cutting edges when processed and sharpened, raising Rc hardness and durability.
