Thecombination of the warm lather and the circular motion of a good shaving brush helpstimulate your skin to produce oil, helping to lubricate the skin for shaving, softeningyour face and your whiskers, and raises the whiskers off the surface of your skin foreasier and closer shaving. When applying the warm lather with a shaving brush, smallcircles should be used with light pressure, to ensure that the lather and the brushbristles get into the pores on the skin and between you beard.
